Discipline is Not a Dirty Word

This FREE 4-session class is funded with the support of Ontario County Department of Social Services.

DATE(S): Tuesday evenings 6:00-8:00 pm, October 13, 20, 27 November 3 & Wrap up Dinner November 10.

LOCATION: FLCC Childcare Center: 3325 Marvin Sands Dr, Canandaigua, NY 14424

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ontario County is hosting a new Parenting class; Discipline is NOT a Dirty Word that offers five parenting tools to support parents, caregivers and teachers in raising and working with children. These include focusing on “do” instead of “don’t” statements; detecting feelings and needs; giving choices; changing the environment; and setting limits that ensure safety in a loving and firm way. Refreshments and Prizes provided each class.

Pre-registration is required. Register by October 2, 2026

A Translator can be available upon request.

Childcare will also be available for young children ages 6 months to age 12 years. (Must be registered by September 18^th for childcare to ensure we have staffing, if registering after this date we cannot guarantee the service)
