Come join Russ Welser, Cornell Cooperative Extension educator on Thursday evening April 9 from 6:30pm - 8pm to explore the topic of foraging for wild edibles. He will show and talk about some of the many wild edibles that you can forage and eat. Russ will provide information on things to consider when foraging and preparing these edibles. Foraging for edibles, be it in your own yard or the back woods is fascinating and rewarding. It provides a greater depth of understanding of the foods pioneers and native Americans may have consumed. Even during the depression years families would have likely relied on some of these wild edibles to sustain themselves. These forgotten foods make some of the most delicious meals and drinks.
