Ag Enrollment

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ontario County relies on the support of enrolled farms to underwrite our specialist educators in dairy, vineyard, and vegetable farming. In return, the enrolled farms receive frequent mail and e-mail contacts and direct access to crop, dairy, and livestock advisors backed up by Cornell researchers and hundreds of experts across the country.

NW New York Dairy, Livestock and Field Crops Team ($70.00)


This team serves dairy farms, field crop and forage farms and commercial livestock farms, including beef, sheep, goat and poultry. Educational program provided by the Northwest New York Dairy, Livestock and Field Crops Team includes:
Ag Focus, monthly publication
Field Crop Topics newsletters
• Meeting / workshop notices
• Special bulletins on farm business management
• Farm visits and on farm research

2018 NWNY Dairy Livestock Field Crops Enrollment Form


Cornell Vegetable Program ($70.00)

This specialized team serves vegetable farms, including conventional, organic and market farms. Information provided on onions, cabbage, potatoes, dry beans, soil health, processing vegetables (sweet corn, snap beans, peas, beets, carrots), fresh market, small farms, greenhouse, business management and organics. Enrollment in the Cornell Vegetable Program includes:
An electronic subscription to Veg Edge newsletter. Enrollees can expect to receive Veg Edge every few weeks,more often during the growing season.
• Enrollees may specify a maximum of 2 e-mail addresses for receipt of the newsletter.
• Enrollees have the option of a paper copy mailed to one address for an additional fee of $35 per year.

Satellite Enrollment

For those who DO NOT live, farm, or conduct agricultural services within the CVP partner counties (See map in Enrollment Cover above).

  • Annual fee of $150 includes Veg Edge and reduced rates to CVP meetings. Satellite enrollment does NOT include farm visits and on-farm research

2018 Special Contributions

We are also offering you the opportunity to make a special donation to the Cooperative Extension program of your choice this year. The amount you specify, over and above that which you send for enrollment, will be given directly to the program you select.

Cooperative Extension of Ontario County

  • 4-H Camp Bristol Hills - Cornell Cooperative Extension’s own summer sleep away camp emphasizing outdoor skills, creative crafts, and youth development.
  •  4-H Camp Bristol Hills Capital Campaign for bathroom renovations -Donations towards the three new fully accessible bathhouses being built at the camp. The bathrooms and showers have not been updated since 1961. This project will improve accessibility for all campers who attend camp.
  • 4-H Youth Development Program - Our traditional 4-H Club program offering Ontario County youth unique experiences to develop speaking skills, self-reliance, animal science, and home skills. 
  • Master Gardener Program - The volunteer corps of Cornell trained garden enthusiasts who serve the community through education, community projects, and youth plant science leadership. 
  • Agriculture and Natural Resources Program - Your support of the local Agriculture and Natural Resources Program provides on-going general agriculture programming to help answer your questions about small farm management, marketing, business planning, local food, agriculture regulations, forestry, maple production, rural land issues, and much more. You can access our expertise through workshops, office visits, email, and our website
  • Rodney Lightfoote Memorial Fund - Rodney was an Agriculture Extension Agent and Agriculture Program Leader at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ontario County. An award has been established to honor his contributions in Agriculture by recognizing those in Ontario County that continue to provide leadership and innovation to agriculture. The award is presented at the Agriculture Appreciation Banquet each year in March.
