We are presently seeking an Agriculture Economic Development, Resource Educator that will develop and deliver formal educational or training programs or informational classes, and/or lectures designed around the business development needs of Ontario County’s growing agriculture community to join our team! This role will provide the subject matter expertise in agriculture business development working in conjunction with area stakeholders to research new agriculture business strategies to develop new and innovative educational programs for the local community.
Successful candidates will possess a Master’s Degree in agricultural economics, marketing, business management or finance, public policy or related field. Minimum of three years professional experience in developing educational programming and agriculture/economic development. Experience with farms and working within the local agriculture community a plus. Ability to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends as job functions require. Ability to meet travel requirements associated with the position. Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with diverse audiences in group and one-on-one settings; working effectively with boards and committees, advisory community and funding partners. Knowledge and experience in agriculture industry. Demonstrated initiative, reliability, dependability and flexibility.
