Calling all homebrewers and beer enthusiasts!
For individuals interested in the science of homebrewing-this course is for YOU!
We will be doing a deep dive on how you homebrew. Participants will get a behind the scenes tour of a local hop yard and malt house in Ontario County as well as local breweries.

September 7: How to brew beer at Cornell Cooperative Extension.
We delve into the science of brewing beer, how does barley, hops, water, and yeast make such a delicious beverage?
September 9: Hop yard tour at Schmidt Farms, 415 County Road 8, Farmington.
We will get an in-depth of a hop yard and see what it takes to grow this flavoring aspect of beer production.
September 16: Malt house tour at Murmurations Malt, 7480 Route 5 & 20, Bloomfield.
Ever wonder what happens to that barley in the field before it can be put into beer?
September 23: Brewery Tour: TBD
We will be touring a commercial brewery and see all their equipment.
