Draft Agricultural Enhancement Plan Open House

The Draft Agricultural Enhancement Plan for Ontario County is now available for public review and comment. Ontario County residents are welcome to learn about, review, and comment on the Agricultural Enhancement Plan, a document that provides guidance on the future development of Ontario County's farms and agricultural enterprises.

The Ontario County Board of Supervisors adopted the first Agricultural Enhancement Plan in 2000. The successful implementation of that plan helped to facilitate the growth and development of agricultural businesses within the county. Changes in the physical, operational and economic needs of the agricultural sector and the County’s development pattern created the need for an update of that Plan.
The underlying purpose of the original Agricultural Enhancement Plan remains as important today as in 2000 – to maintain and enhance the viability of farms and farm-related businesses in Ontario County.

The Draft Plan is available for review at:
